The Águilas Carnival
A Festival of International Tourist Interest, in February.
The whole town throws itself into it for a week. It holds the International Tourist Interest designation and has its own mythology — the Musa, don Carnal, the cuadrillas — unlike any other carnival on this coast.
It is the busiest week of the year outside summer. If you are coming then, it is worth looking at accommodation early.
