The islet off El Hornillo beach, with Roman remains.
The island is visible from the beach and holds the remains of a Roman salting works. It is a protected natural area and its seabed is among the richest in south-east Spain.
You can paddle around it by kayak or board from the shore, and the water around it is some of the best in the area for snorkelling.
